Mother's Day

My Mom loves me no matter what. She is the perfect example of unconditional love. To be worthy of her love I only have to be. There is no requirement for me to "do".

Every crazy thing I do, she supports me. If I were to call her up tomorrow and tell her that I have a great opportunity and I am moving to the Moon, she would be proud of me. She would be sad that I would be living so far away, but she would tell all her friends about her smart, adventurous, special daughter and her great opportunity on the moon.

The other day I observed a man walking his dog. He had the customary plastic bag full of dog doo in his hand. I know that makes him a responsible pet owner and all that, but it doesn't add anything to the idyllic scene. Anyway, it triggered memories of all the dogs I had as a kid. I NEVER remember picking up a single pile of dog poop. I am serious - NEVER! We had more dogs than I can remember. We played in the yard all the time and I never stepped in any, or even saw any. I KNOW they must have pooped, as all dogs do. The only explanation I can think of is that my mom must have done it.

Mom picked up all the poop. That is what she does for those she loves. She takes care of all the "poop" she can for us. She doesn't complain, ask for help, or look for praise. She is a great mother. She loves without requirements and she serves those she loves with all her heart and strength.
